Not sure where to start?  Try OneSearch!  It searches the library catalog, databases, as well as some freely available sites, somewhat like Google.  This can mean large number of results so use the limiters on the left hand side of the screen to get more useable results.

Welcome to the research guide for Dr. Betz' WRT 200 Class.  I hope this will become a valuable source for you as you work through your Researched Narrative paper.  This guide provides a starting point for your research, it is by no means exhaustive.  If you have questions please do not hesitate to use the "email me" button to the right to contact me.

  • The materials in Special Collections CANNOT leave the room 
  • START YOUR RESEARCH EARLY

 

Hints for finding what you need for your assignment

For your assignment you will need:

  1. A Scholarly Reference Work -- see the tab "Secondary Sources"
  2. 3 Book(s), Book Chapter(s), Print Article(s) -- Use the OneSearch Box above; if struggling see the tab "Secondary Sources" and use the box "Pilot"
  3. 2 scholarly journal articles -- Use the OneSearch Box above; if struggling see the tab "Secondary Sources" and use the box "Finding Articles"
  4. A Scholarly Website -- before 'Googling' check out the "Primary Resources" tab
    1. Use Google's Advanced Search to limit to .edu, .gov, or .org sites

...Do not limit yourself to only these 7 required materials.
